Rice harvest season is in full swing here in Isaan Thailand, there is rice absolutely everywhere you look! While out on a drive today I stopped by a few of the locals who were involved in harvesting some rice and spoke with them about it and took some photos. Rice is still at a low at just over 2 baht per kilo, so it really puts things into perspective. As with most things, the people who are doing the hardest work are the ones who get paid the least. These locals deserve all the praise for helping to produce some of the best rice in the entire world, right here from small villages in the province of Surin. Support locals wherever you can!
